For the 2015-2016 academic year, RMU seeks faculty candidates who will exemplify the teacher-scholar model in the following academic discipline:

Assistant Professor - Criminal Justice

Applicants must possess a terminal degree in Criminal Justice or Criminology.  RMU seeks a generalist with a strong interest in undergraduate education and a promising research agenda to coordinate a new on-line degree in Criminal Justice. Successful candidates will demonstrate teaching excellence, and will have both interest and experience teaching in an online environment.  A record of program development is preferred.
The Social Sciences Department, housed in RMU’s School of Education and Social Sciences, offers undergraduate degree programs in History, Psychology, Political Science, Sociology and Social Sciences (including Social Studies Education) and is introducing a new on-line degree in Criminal Justice.  In addition, the department teaches social science courses as part of the University’s core curriculum. The department fosters collegiality and values collaboration.
