Human Resources Department announces the position of Secretary (Part-Time)
reporting to the Coordinator, Women’s Leadership and Mentorship Program. This
is a part-time position which is not eligible for University benefits. Work
hours are limited to 950 per calendar year.
include: Answering telephones, taking
messages and scheduling appointments for the Women’s Leadership and Mentorship
Program; preparing and mailing communication, including electronic
communication, to participants in the Women’s Leadership and Mentorship
Program; maintaining spreadsheets and databases of all participants, donors,
and alumnae in the Women’s Leadership and Mentorship Program; assisting the
faculty coordinator and program specialist for Women’s Leadership and
Mentorship Program and the Event Programming Sub-Committee of the Women’s
Leadership Advisory Council in coordinating special events, such as scheduling
facilities, sending invitations, ordering supplies, and managing attendee lists
for events; coordinates basic maintenance and order supplies for the Women’s
Leadership and Mentorship Program; and performs any and all relevant duties of
Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience; minimum of three years of office/secretarial experience, preferably in higher education.
Position is 20 hours per week; specific hours are somewhat flexible, but prefer Monday through Friday.
Proficient in use of computers including Microsoft Office packages; calendar management; email; willingness to develop computer and technological skills, adjust to other updated technology, and grow professionally as required.
Excellent oral and written communication, and organizational skills; professional demeanor.
Good interpersonal communication skills needed to interact closely and collaboratively with staff, faculty, and students.
Ability to work independently and exercise judgment.
