New Hire Employment Documents
Welcome to Robert Morris University!
On behalf of Robert Morris University, Human Resources would
like to welcome you. We know there is
much to do as you begin your employment, so we have created this web page to assist you with a smooth transition.
Benefits eligible employees will be scheduled to attend New Employee Orientation within 31 days
of employment. Orientation will provide
information about RMU, its practices and procedures, key department
information, and an overview of our benefit programs. Human Resources will be
in touch to schedule you to attend Orientation.

Background Screening Authorization
Successful screening results must be obtained prior to employment beginning - please read, print, and complete pages 1 & 2
Please print and complete as directed; bring to Human Resources, Revere Center, preferably on your first day of employment or within 3 days of employment beginning.

Pages 7 and 8 of this form must be completed and original identification documents personally provided within 3 days of employment

Direct Deposit Enrollment/Paycheck Distribution Form
Whether or not you elect to have direct deposit, this form needs to be completed. For direct deposit, a voided check must be attached.
The front side of this form is to be completed (items 1-7), sign and date
Residency Certification Form
Act 32 requires employers to withhold local earned income tax for all
employees. Complete the top and lower
portion of the form. Employee tax rates will be determined by the PSD where you
reside. Exception: If the place where
you work has a higher non-resident EIT rate than your place of residence, you
will be subject to the higher non-resident EIT rate. Out of state residents
would pay the local non-resident rate where you work regardless of the resident
rate in the employee’s home residence. Employees are responsible for seeking
any potential credits/refunds. To determine the PSD Code for your local municipality,
open the Municipal Statistics Tax Reports . You are responsible to inform RMU of your place of residency. In the event of
a change of residency, update your address through Employee Self Service and
submit a new Residency Certification Form. Please contact the Payroll Officer at 412-397-6280 with questions.

NOTE: It is especially important that all employees review the policies related to the Family and Medical Leave Act and Sexual Harassment. Employees covered by a collective bargaining agreement should also refer to their respective contracts.
Transcripts: - Official transcripts are required and must be
submitted to Human Resources as soon as possible.
