New Hire Employment Documents

Welcome to Robert Morris University!

On behalf of Robert Morris University, Human Resources would like to welcome you.  We know there is much to do as you begin your employment, so we have created this web page to assist you with a smooth transition.

Benefits eligible employees will be scheduled to attend New Employee Orientation within 31 days of employment.  Orientation will provide information about RMU, its practices and procedures, key department information, and an overview of our benefit programs. Human Resources will be in touch to schedule you to attend the next available orientation.

Employment Forms

Please print and complete as directed below then bring to Human Resources, Revere Center.  The completed and signed documents are required to be submitted within 3 days of employment beginning (preferably the first day of employment).  Please retain copies of all documents for your records.

Pages 7 and 8 of this form must be completed and original identification documents personally provided within 3 days of employment.
RMU Application Form
If you have not already done so, please complete (including employment history), sign and date the form.

Please complete the form in its entirety.
Direct Deposit Enrollment/Paycheck Distribution Form
Whether or not you elect to have direct deposit, this form needs to be completed, signed and dated.  For direct deposit, a voided check must be attached.
W-4 Form
Please complete (items 1-7), sign and date the front of this form.
Residency Certification Form
PA Act 32 requires employers to withhold local earned income tax for all employees.  Complete the top (Employee Information-Residence Location) and lower (Certification Signature) portion of the form. Employee tax rates will be determined by the Political Subdivision (PSD) where you reside. Exception:  If the place where you work has a higher non-resident Earned Income Tax (EIT) rate than your place of residence, you will be subject to the higher non-resident EIT rate. Out of state residents would pay the local non-resident rate where you work regardless of the resident rate in the employee's home residence. Employees are responsible for seeking any potential credits/refunds. To determine the PSD Code for your local municipality, visit You are responsible to inform RMU of your place of residency. In the event of a change of residency, update your address by completing the Employee Change Form located at  In addition, you will need to submit a new PA Residency Certification Form.
